RE: Tried being reasonable time to vent!

I have read so many bad reviews about CW I will NEVER darken their doorway. Thanks for the heads up. Oh, and yes I plan on telling all my RV friends, but I'm sure they already know! BTW where is that Lemonis guy, he sure is quiet on this one!!

RE: Fewer Class A Units on the Road

We have a 2 weeker planned for Colorado in July. We had alot of trouble finding a spot in several campgrounds. One campground told me they have had a lot of cancellations but they are full because of the locals. Shorter trips. It will be a 3000 miler for us and we can't wait!!:B

RE: Brand new member as of 2 minutes ago, and need help!!!!

Is there a fire?? Slow down. You will make much better choices after you do some, or a lot of research.

RE: Monaco 8 airbag system question

I know very little about this system, but was recently told by a salesmen, they have lots of problems with the 8 bag system, because they are so near the tires, and rocks get kicked up into the bags and damage them..........is this true? or just salesmen talk? By the way, what are the pros and cons of 4 bags vs 8 bags? Thanks Brian I was told the exact same thing by a salesman in Texas. Not saying it's true, not saying I agree.

RE: I Recomend a Yahama 2400 gen

I have had great luck with my 3000seb very quiet and very powerful. I just bought a Yamaha 12kw for my home. Yamaha makes a great generator.

RE: Disk Brakes

My 06 Kountry Aire has electric over hydraulic disc brakes. They work great, however my 08 F-450 has the larger disc brakes so I don't use the trailer brakes very often.

RE: RV Covers

We are on our 3rd year with our ADCO with TyVek cover. It's a MUST with this intense Sun up here!!!!! Ive seen 3 year old uncovered units that graphics and paint look like toast. Our unit looks as good as the day we bought it every time we uncover it, and I've had absolutely no rubbing issues as the above post had. It also protects all the plastic lights, all the caulk and vents, etc. You can either cover yours and keep your investment looking nice, or leave it uncovered and watch your unit COOK....its up to you. Us too!! ADCO cover keeps it great! No rubbung, no baking, no problem.

RE: How low do we go? Advice negotiating price...

I agree. We sold our Palomino pop-up through the paper in one week. You don't really know how much they are giving you for your trade in because it is blended in with the price of the new one. If you sell your trailer on your own, then negotiate the price on the new one you will save big $$$. Best of luck. :)

RE: Post your best one liner - Holiday Rambler - Pic inside

I bet the owner has never had any pets and never smoked inside. I'll bet it has always been stored indoors too. :B:B

RE: Dynasty vs Camelot/Scepter

I think Dynasty is one of the best MH values out there. There are better MH's but for the money I would go with a Dynasty. :)

RE: Why do you prefer a Class A over a 5 wheel?

We have a Kountry Air 5er and pull it with an 08 F-450. I get about 7 mpg and have a 100 gal transfer flo tank, the last fueling was 4.30 diesel, my bill was 433.00. With the cost of the truck and 5er I am 80% of what a 05 or 06 500 hp DP cost with less than 10k miles. So that's why for us we are selling our outfit and buying a 45' bus. The cost will be a little more, the mpg may be better. And all the reasons everyone else has mentioned is why we want a DP. But isn't it great to live in a country where we can have what we want!! To each his own!

RE: This is a nice car

If gas gets to 8-10 dollars a gallon......it will sell! This is what gas cost in Europe for several years already. Can you see those cars there? I'm sorry I thought the Aptera was a new car, just out. But if not I'll still stick with my opinion. Thanks for educating me though.:)

RE: Ramblings from an old Coot

A couple of years ago hurricane "Rita" was headed for the Texas coast. As it got closer people began to panic, including the city government of Houston, then they told everyone to evacuate, wow, I can't fully put into words the total mayhem that resulted. People were freaking out, running out of their homes jumping in their cars and tearing off down the road. No food, no water, no money and no clue where they were going, although it did not matter because the sat in traffic for 20 to 30 hours, or until they ran out of gas. My point is, I agree with the op. Take it easy, don't panic, be careful, have a little food and money set aside for a rainy day. But I don't believe the world is coming to an end and that we should all sell our RV's and hide. This is a rough cycle. And what does'nt kill us will make us stronger. Hang in there! BTW, I stayed home during "Rita" and my grass did'nt even get watered!!

RE: Ramblings from an old Coot

Yep, I been thinking some things thru the last couple weeks. Lot of folks got class A's lookin' to sell cheap. Lots of folks going to TT's instead of motorized RV's/ I'm thinkin' I'm gonna sell my TT and go buy me one of those cheap class A's. that's what I'm thinkin'. :B Thats exactly what I'm doing!!!

RE: Burglarized

I'm sorry to hear of your break in. You have to wonder if someone who has or had legitimate access to your lot did the deed. I agree. I believe a lot of storage lot break-ins are inside jobs.:M

RE: Motorcycle - am I crazy??

I love motorcycles. I put over 10k miles on one a few years back. Got rid of it because my family wouldn't fit on it. But I love em. One thought however, a motorcycle used for pleasure cruising is one thing but when you use it as your every day driver the chance of accident goes way up. Two months ago I had a close friend lose his leg after a lady ran a light and t-boned him. Be careful.

RE: What would you do?

Gosh, sorry you are going through this. On my last new coach I had 2 full pages of warranty issues BEFORE I took delivery. Then after the first trip I had 3 pages of stuff. A couple of thoughts, the problems you are having are the dealerships. I would have made them come pick up the coach and let them take it where ever for repairs. I would make them reimburse you for the new battery and any storage fees. Hold their feet to the fire, you just spent a lot of money with them and THEY need to make everything right. Good luck, it gets better. Tim
